Urgh I don't want to talk about it anymore I think the more I talk about it the angrier I get.
Anyway, I'm (finally) quitting my job!!! Never liked it from the beginning, but I couldn't muster up the courage to quit because my aunt is involved, didn't want to put her in any difficult position just because I wanted to quit. Plus I was going back on my promise about working till June. But I couldn't stand the job. The people were great (most of them anyway) but the job was so stupid.
Most people would love my job I think cos it doesn't require any brain work, but damn, it's boring as hell.
And I really hate being in the service industry. People can be so fucking annoying really. They think just because they're paying you you're supposed to treat them like they're kings.
Once this woman said in a high and mighty tone "Next time just standardize ok?" when I told her she needed to pay extra 5 bucks because of an extra adult. Like, hello it was not my fucking fault, I've never seen your fucking face before.
Then she very snobbishly threw me money on the counter. Like usually people will pass to you the money, or just place them at the counter right? She literally threw out money from her wallet with her head raised high.
Then my job requires me to help her put on this tag on her wrist, and she fucking withdrew her hand away the second I asked if I could help her put it on, then proceeded to take the tag from me and put it on herself.
Seriously she treated me like I had some fucking contagious disease that is quite likely to kill her the moment I touched her.
Like what the fuck man lol. I was so angry and amused at the same time. To think these kind of people exist.
Told my colleague and he said it was normal. Once he had this customer who demanded to have the 10% off even though he didn't have the Baby Bonus card or NTUC card. Yknow sometimes you have certain cards then you can enjoy certain discounts right? Well, that guy had neither cards, and guess what he said?
"Aiya, the discount only $2.50 right? Just give me la! So little only why don't want give me?"
And I heard he fucking demanded the discount. Damn ridiculous la like wtf you don't have the card then no discount right!!! You said so yourself that it was only $2.50 yet you refuse to pay for that?! So fucking shameless please
And I heard my colleague didn't wanna quarrel w him so he just gave him the discount and offered to pay the $2.50 himself -_-
Lol like seriously, why do these kind of people exist.
So yeah I'm probably never going to work in the service industry when I grow older.
The thing that sucks the most is that people in the service industry can't do a fucking thing when faced with these kind of people. All they can do is to suppress their anger and force a smile and hope they'll come to realise their disgusting behavior in due time, but they probably never do.
Okay i think I'm done ranting. 1 hour more to go till I end work!!! :(
